Athletics of Abalone - NIL Deals In The Making?

A couple of weeks ago Thad had an idea that raised a very intriguing question for the guys to ponder on. Can you fit a tennis court within the confines of the beach to backstreet? Well we tested it out, and turns out you can. 

Some of our buddies, who also happen to be some studs for the Point Loma Men's Tennis team, agreed they'd hit some forehands in an Abalone hat. (This is for all of you that are a little too sold on the backstreet portion of our motto). You can sweat in our stuff too, and our friends Nabeel Khan and Alex Leischner proved that.

Nabeel and Alex were super good sports for this little idea we had, and agreed to slap some tennis balls around for like 30 minutes while Thomas, Thad and I dodged the incoming serves from them. Thomas had his tripod and phone set up getting some dope TikTok and Instagram content, while Thad had the camera out getting some actual photos of the guys in action. I stood there and cheered everyone on, remember, I'm here to write. 

The guys rallied for us for a good amount of time and once we had our content we got some final stills of them and the hats under the bright lights of the court. Nabeel was cracking open fresh cans of tennis balls, Alex was trying to knock Thomas' phone off the tripod with his serves and we were pulling every trick out of the bag to try and get some creative shots in a setting no one would expect us to be in. It was a whole production, and one that I wish more of you could have seen.

It was definitely a taste of something we want to get into more. Collabing with Nabeel and Alex was a blast, and also a humble reminder of all the people that have been willing to help us as we get the wheels turning. With every run of social media content we film and every shoot we coordinate, the creative juices flow even freer. I think I speak for all the guys when I say Abalone has been more fun than any of us envisioned.

Last week it was the tennis court, this current week it was Thomas' living room boxing up all your orders and next week is entirely up to Abalone. We'll see where it takes us, and by now I'm hoping you've hopped in the passenger seat because I'm not lying when I tell you things are moving fast.

Oh, and when we make it big just know Nabeel and Alex are the first NIL athletes we're signing. Nabeel Khan x Abalone already has such a nice ring to it. I can already picture him lifting his Wimbledon trophy in an Abalone hat. That'll be something.
